Hurricane Katrina would take America by force, first making landfall on August 30, 2005 over the Bahamas as a Tropical Depression, building more strength as it entered the United States, hitting Mississippi first. Causing major damage over pretty much most of the lower east coast of North America, by the time that it hit Louisiana, the flooding and damage that it spewed over all the affected areas would cause the deaths of almost 2000 people, and worse yet, immense damage amounting to $125 billion. It would be considered one of five of America’s worst storms ever to hit the country, as well as one of the costliest.

The Global Financial Crisis of 2008 began with the collapse of subprime mortgage, which later on caused Investment Bank, Lehman Brothers to collapse on September 15, 2008. And when they filed for bankruptcy, there was an unbelievable number of other institutions that had to start taking bailouts at the same time, causing a global downfall in the stock market. There wasn’t a nation that wasn’t affected by this, making it the worst financial crisis since ‘The Great Depression.’
