Although Martin Luther King had used his infamous line in a few speeches before, this time, his “I Have A Dream” line, which he would say in his speech on August 28, 1963, would make a completely different impact on the world. While King was making a name for himself in churches in particularly black communities, as well as in other civil rights movements groups, this time, his speech was publicized by over three television networks while the march for jobs and freedom was attended by over 250,000 people. His speech would go down in history as one of America’s most profound, remembered and cherished speeches in American history which also went on to define the Civil Rights Movement.

It was November 22, 1963, and JFK, along with his wife, Jacqueline, and Texas Governor John Connally and his wife, Nellie, were in the same car when former Marine Lee Harvey Oswald began shooting at them, killing JFK during the attack. And while nobody knew the reason behind the assassination, his death would automatically make Lyndon B. Johnson the 36th President of the United States.
