The United States and Japan had been at odds since the 1920’s, but as the years went by, their conflict would only get worse. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the continuous war that was raging on around the world, America would detonate two separate nuclear bombs over Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, and then Nagasaki on August 9, which was just 3 days after. The bombs proved fatal as they killed over 129,000 civilians, causing Emperor Hirohito’s surrender in WWII.
