Osama bin Laden was the original leader, as well as founder, of the Islamist terrorist group Al-Qaeda. This was also the same group behind the horrible attacks on the twin towers known as 9/11. He played a huge role in the attack, and America searched 10 years for him, finally catching him in his compound in Pakistan where he was in hiding. He was killed on May 2, 2011, caught by one of the most undeniably elite American Navy Seals units, who brought his dead body back to Afghanistan for positive identification before burying him at sea, less than 24 hours after he was killed.
