On December 7, 1941, the United States would be in a state of shock when, at 7:48 a.m. Hawaiian time, 353 Imperial Japanese aircrafts began attacking Pearl Harbor. Not only did they destroy hundreds of aircrafts, battleships and the like, more than 2,400 people died while another 1,178 were wounded. This attack would also become the start of the United States’ involvement in World War II.

The Battle of Stalingrad began on July 17, 1942, with its fall commencing on February 2, 1943. Germany ended up surrendering to the Soviets. Although it was successful, it was also one of the goriest battles of all time, killing over 2 million people in total, soldiers and civilians alike.
