Rising to stardom on hit TV series, Glee, Jane Lynch shares how she first came about the term ‘gay,’ realizing “I’m the female version of that,” but it wasn’t easy for her at all. She explains, “It was almost like I had a disease I had been diagnosed [with].” She even went on to say, “I was in the closet for so long and it tortured me. I thought I was the only [gay] person it the world. It wasn’t a fun thing.” Gratefully, she was able to come into her own and admit that she was gay, sharing, “You are going to find something in you that is going to help you move and make you a more extraordinary person. And you’ll use that all through your life.”
