Jesse Tyler Ferguson didn’t mean to come out at the time that he did, but when he was caught stealing gay porn in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico in high school, he didn’t have a choice. He shared, “My mom and dad saw the nature of the material I was stealing, and that’s how I came out.” He continued, “I find it funny now, but at the time it was incredibly traumatizing.” Thankfully things have changed since then and he’s now happily married to his husband Justin Mikita, while enjoying a very successful career as an actor on Modern Family.
