Even before Jodie Foster made a name for herself as the infamous ‘Clarice’ in blockbuster hit, Silence of the Lambs, she had already been a Hollywood star since time immemorial. Having been on screen since the tender age of 3, it would seem that she always knew that she was gay, but it wasn’t as easy to express at the height of her career. It was during a Cecil B DeMille award acceptance speech where she had ‘come out’ claiming, “I have a sudden urge to say something that I’ve never been able to air in public.” And while she never actually said, “I’m gay,” what she did say was enough to earn her the applause and admiration that she certainly deserved.
