Ben Whishaw
The actor who played the role of ‘Q’ in one of the more recent James Bond movies, Ben Whishaw, never truly felt the need to publicly admit that he was gay. Yet because of the press hounding him about it, he said that he wishes he had just come out sooner so that he didn’t have to endure getting harassed by them. Eventually, after his marriage to musical composer Mark Bradshaw, Whishaw exclaimed, “Everyone was surprisingly lovely. I hadn’t anticipated that they would be but they were. It takes courage [to come out] and people have to do it in their own time.”
