Michael Angelakos

Passion Pit’s lead singer and front man, Michael Angelakos, actually came about his sexuality during an interview with ‘American Psycho’ author Bret Easton Ellis. Although it wasn’t necessarily part of his plan, since he had been speaking about mental illness, he felt it fitting to talk about it as well since he felt like it was a ‘safe space.’ He shared, “It’s the same gut feeling I had when I said, OK, I kind of just need to talk to people about the fact that I am. I’m gay. And that’s it. It just has to happen.”
