After receiving major backlash over her song ‘Girls’ for the way it misrepresented those in the LGBTQ community, Rita Ora went on to apologize for having hurt anyone’s feelings. But she also shared that the song was based on her own personal experiences with women, explaining, “Girls was written to represent my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience in my life. I have had romantic relationships with women and men throughout my life and this is my personal journey.”
