Deputies Get Warrants To Search Properties
The sheriff’s deputies quickly got warrants to search Dorothy Maraglino’s home at 317 East Fallbrook Street, including the boat kept behind the house. They found many odd things inside the residence. Both Maraglino and Lopez were at home when the police searched the basement which had been converted into a sex dungeon, complete with all sorts of erotic equipment and restraints such as handcuffs, shackles, whips, rope, and sex toys. There were also swords, a machete, and a knife labeled “The Black Defender.” The women explained their household relationship—Perez was their master, Maraglino was his alpha slave and also the mistress, and Lopez was the slave that served them both. Their chosen lifestyle involved inflicting pain and fear on each other to derive sexual pleasure. Later on, the police returned with a second search warrant, but both Maraglino and Lopez were gone.
