Preliminary Hearing Begins In 2013
On the 11th of March 2013, almost a year after Brittany’s death, a preliminary hearing was set in motion for Louis Ray Perez, Dorothy Grace Marie Maraglino, and Jessica Lynn Lopez. Several witnesses, including the friend Brittany texted for help, took the stand. In the first days of the preliminary hearing, witnesses detailed the strange family set-up inside the Fallbrook home. A former roommate testified that Lopez signed a contract, agreeing to become Maraglino’s slave. Another witness stated that in the household, Perez was called “Master” or “Ivan” and Maraglino was called “Mistress” or “Dee.” Another revealed she once took part in a pretend abduction with Perez and Maraglino and learned of Maraglino’s fascination with blood. The district attorney said the defendants who practiced BDSM also participated in the murder of 22-year-old Brittany Killgore for their own sadistic gratification.
