Autopsy Report Reveals Brittany’s Cause Of Death
The medical examiner noted Brittany’s black tattoo of her grandmother’s name on her left wrist which earlier helped detectives confirm her identify. Based on a toxicology report, Brittany had no drugs in her system when she was murdered. A low level of alcohol was detected, but this was most likely due to postmortem changes. The autopsy report determined “homicidal violence” as the cause of Brittany Killgore’s death. There were two small, brown marks on her face and neck that suggested an electrical weapon was used on her. She had wounds on her wrist that implied she had been handcuffed, and there were injuries to her neck that were consistent with strangulation. There were also large wounds on her wrist and knee that were indicative of attempted dismemberment with the use of a tool such as a saw.
