Jury Found Perez, Maraglino and Lopez Guilty Of Murder, Kidnapping, Torture, And Sexual Battery
On the 21st of October 2015, over three years after Brittany’s murder and after several weeks at trial and hours of deliberations, the jury decided all three had a part in Brittany’s death and convicted Perez, Maraglino, and Lopez of murder, kidnapping, torture, and sexual battery charges in the massacre of Brittany Killgore. While Lopez’s conspiracy to kidnapping charges were dropped, she was found just as guilty as her fellow defendants. Though prosecution did not seek the death penalty, all three were sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Brittany’s family gave their emotional statements, receiving justice for the murder of their beloved daughter. Michelle Wrest said that she prayed the three would stay miserable in prison for the rest of their lives.
