Tattoo On Wrist Confirms Brittany’s Identity
Brittany’s family and friends were all praying the body wasn’t Brittany’s. There were other people reported missing in Fallbrook, too, and Brittany’s parents wanted to hold on to the hope that their daughter was still alive. The homicide detectives asked the Wrests if they knew of any markings that could help identify the body, and Michelle told them Brittany had a tattoo on her inner left wrist. It was a tattoo of her grandmother’s name, “Eileen.” Brittany had it done before she and Cory got married. The detectives examined her wrist and sure enough saw the name. At that point, they confirmed they found Brittany Killgore, and there was no more hope in finding her alive. They were no longer dealing with a missing person case but a homicide investigation.
