Packing To Move On
Brittany was packing to move back home to Missouri when Marine Staff Sergeant Louis Ray Perez came knocking at her door. He asked her to go out with him on a dinner cruise and he’ll send five guys over in the morning to help her move. She turned down his offer multiple times, but Perez insisted on taking her to the Hornblower Cruise. Brittany didn’t feel comfortable with Perez. Her gut told her there was something off about him. She also knew he had a girlfriend, Dorothy Maraglino, but Perez got his girlfriend to call Brittany and tell her it was okay for her to go. With Maraglino’s approval and because she needed help with the move, Brittany finally agreed. Anyway, Perez had been a Marine for 16 years, so she assumed she could trust him. Brittany should’ve trusted her gut instead.
