Although Mattel didn’t mean for Oreo Fun Barbie to be controversial, that’s exactly what she was. This particular Barbie was created due to a tie up with highly famous cookie company, but suffered major slack being that the term ‘Oreo’ has been used as a derogatory term for African Americans who “act white” especially since one of Oreo’s taglines is “black on the outside and white on the inside.” This is just another major example of a Barbie creation gone wrong… very, very wrong.

Concentration Camp Lego

Danish bigwig Lego is one of the biggest toy companies to ever grace the world, beginning way back when in 1932. Considering that there are Lego sets for everything, from Star Wars themes, to the Avengers movies, to basically every landmark in the world, it seems that there is nothing Lego hasn’t done. So when polish artist, Zbigniew Libera, was given free reign to design his own Lego set, no one thought that he would actually come up with a concentration camp Lego toy based on Auschwitz itself, complete with skeletons, prison guards and fences. And while people find most Lego toys to be incredibly mind blowing, this one was exactly that, just for all the wrong reasons.
