While this next item may not exactly be a toy, it is a book that is directly meant for children to understand mommy’s bout with liposuction. Yup, there’s actually a book for this, and the even more insane was the amount of copies that sold, at $35.49 a pop! Although mothers who went on to buy the book to explain to their impressionable young daughters how they needed to transform their bodies to ‘look beautiful again’ after having babies, activists and feminists alike were having none of it, and we really can’t blame them.

Crazy For You Bear

One has to admit that the Crazy For You Bear is truly cute. The problem lies with the fact that while being ‘crazy about something’ is a term of endearment, being put in a straight jacket has no endearing qualities at all. Mental health groups had a field day with this one, getting majorly upset over the idea that this toy company was making fun of those with true mental health issues. You could say that whoever let this one go to production was a tad bit insane as well.
