Teen Talk Barbie

Once again, another Barbie that was put on the market was one called the ‘Teen Talk Barbie.’ And as the name suggests, she had over 270 different phrases or statements that she would say like, “I’m studying to be a doctor,” or like in true teeny-bopper fashion “Will we ever have enough clothes?” But the one that people were outraged about was the line, “Math call is tough!” It would seem that women everywhere were offended that Barbie found Math so difficult. If you think about it, when does she get the time to study when she’s busy working a million jobs?

Little Miss No Name

This ‘Little Miss No Name’ doll was created to be the complete opposite of Barbie, with the hopes that young girls would want to comfort her with her sad face, her tears, and basically want to take care of her forever. But considering her huge eyes, creepy features and basically eerie demeanor, both kids and parents alike didn’t want her anywhere near them. She looked more like the kind of doll that would ‘come to life’ in the middle of the night to haunt you, rather than the type you’d want to snuggle with to keep the nightmares at bay.
