They Do Not Discipline Players
The NFL has a grey area when it comes to enforcing discipline. Not all the rules apply to players especially if it is too big a risk for the game to affect their big-league business. Until it is too late. In fact, USA Today is keeping a running database of NFL arrests that make headline news including drunk driving, assaults, illegal possession of an alligator, first degree murder among other news-worthy offenses.
