League Players Live Less
The popular belief that professional athletes, who are incredibly athletic and healthy, would probably live longer lives is a fallacy. In contrast, NFL players are not exempted. In a study conducted in 1994, which determined the average life expectancy of NFL players, it revealed that a player will live until age of 55. On average, football league players live less because of the amount of injuries sustained during their careers. However, the NFL has taken steps to make the game safer so we can presume life expectancy to improve for them.
