Sketchy Ties
It was reported that Tony Mara, the owner of the NY Giants, have ties with gambling. He was a bookie in his youth, an illegal profession at that time, and has maintained his connections. On the other hand, Art Rooney, the founder and owner of the Pittsburg Steelers was a well- known gambler winning US$ 160,000 on a horse race in the 1930’s. He used this gambling money to fund the team.
