One of the worst cities to reside in in the west coast state of California, San Bernardino’s 29.4% poverty rate is reflective of how difficult it is financially to live in the city. The lack of viable employment has been blamed for this, leaving 7.3% of its adult workforce sitting idle. Crime has been the sole reason for businesses and employers to avoid the area, with rates triple that of the average nationwide.
A huge reason why San Bernardino in California has such a high crime rate is because the city has fallen under bankruptcy. Due to this reason alone, there are less cops patrolling the streets, which therefore allows more crimes to take place. With 32.3% of people filing for unemployment, this causes quite a few to find other ways to survive on the streets, as well as end up committing a variety of crimes.
