2. Bessemer, Alabama
Sadly, for Alabama, at least 8 of its cities are considered dangerous, with Bessemer making second on the list. Studies show that ‘residents have a 1 in 47 chance of being a victim of a violent crime.’ Plus, one statement went on to explain, “Violent crimes include murder, forcible rape, armed robbery, aggravated assault, and assault with a deadly weapon” after taking into account population and actual crimes reported to the FBI. After going through this list, the hope is to bring awareness to the cities that have more violence than others in order to help bring about smarter choices when choosing either where to live, or where to visit. And hopefully, all these cities will also find solutions to their issues with high crime soon enough.
