Finding A Director

The very first of its kind in the Ukraine, they needed to gather able staff to manage the daily operations of the plant. They hired Viktor Bryukhanov, the second man seen on the left of the photo. He was a 35-year old man who worked at a thermal power station elsewhere who was also said to be incredibly loyal to the Communist party, to run the entire plant as Chernobyl Director. And it was going to prove to be much more difficult than anyone could ever imagine.
