Months Of Work

With teams of people doing everything they could to keep the radiation leak at a limit, they also sent out Mi-26 helicopters to fly around day and night spraying a special chemical all across the grounds. This was to help make the radioactive particles float to the ground so that the men could then gather and bury them 300,000 cubic meters below ground. It was months and months of work, and even though men were paid and sent home after they’d reached their exposure limit, they all still suffered the consequences.
