One Of The Control Rooms
This is one control room, as seen in the photo, which was needed to control just one reactor. The plants were built near the Pripyat River precisely because each reactor needed water pumped into it to control the heat. Considering the amount of nuclear power that was being used at the plant, people had to constantly man each control center to make sure nothing went wrong. If only they knew then just how wrong things would go, they probably would have never stepped into the plant to work.
