The City Of Pripyat
Considering that the Soviet Union was a communist nation, it was said that living near the plant was ‘a very nice place to live.’ Pripyat was considered a “young” city, since the average age of its residents was just 26. The city had quite a large number of preschools and big schools for the children in the area, like those seen in the photo. There was also a school of music and arts for kids, a college, as well as a number of other places for families to spend their time, like cinemas, restaurants, cafes and such.
