11. Problems in Coordination
Loss of coordination, also known as ataxia, is a frustrating symptom often complained by patients suffering from MS. When the immune system attacks the cerebellum, the part of the brain responsible for fine-tuning the body’s movements, simple tasks such as standing up straight, grasping tiny objects, and writing, become difficult, causing much frustration in people with multiple sclerosis.
