Certain Infections
Studies have shown that previous exposure to certain viruses increase a person’s chances of suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. Viruses such as the Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), the agent responsible for infective mononucleosis, and Human Herpes Virus 6 (HHV-6), have been found to increase a person’s likelihood of getting Multiple Sclerosis as they have been identified as possible co-factors in the condition’s development.
