5. Involuntary Eye Movements

Problems in eye movement are common in Multiple Sclerosis patients, occurring in more than half of the cases of MS. These involuntary movements are due to lesions in the brainstem caused by MS that result in abnormal signal transmissions to the muscles attached to the eyes. MS patients often complain of difficulty controlling their eyes, making it difficult for them to do their daily activities normally.
