Environmental Factors

Environmental factors such as weather and climate have been suggested and have been believed to increase the likelihood of a person getting Multiple Sclerosis. However, the exact mechanism by which these trigger the immune system’s attacks on the central nervous system is unknown. Cases of MS in places with climates similar to that of Canada, New Zealand, Northern Europe, and the Northern part of the United States have been noted to be higher than that of others.
