11. Young giraffe killed by euthanasia

At a zoo in Florida, a young giraffe, unfortunately, had its head trapped between two poles. The poor animal attempted with all its might to free its head from the poles. The zookeepers were sent in, but they, too, struggled to set the poor animal free. They were faced with a desperate situation. Hours went by before the giraffe finally broke free. Unfortunately, it suffered a serious spinal injury, one that has very little chance of recovery. The zookeepers must decide on what to do with the animal.

The injured animal could no longer stand properly. Treatments were undertaken but were unsuccessful. Eventually, zoo officials had no choice but to help the animal by putting it out of its misery through euthanasia.
