23. Man sick of his wife jumps into a lion’s den

This was another deliberate act which was more out of stupidity. Surya Narayan Das, 45-years-old, married, had been contemplating on taking his own life. He has had enough of his wife’s constant nagging. So, one day, he sneaked into a zoo and, without hesitation, jumped right into a lion’s enclosure at a Nandankanan Zoo in India. He was determined to end his life at the jaws of the lions.

Without hesitation, the hungry carnivores lunged at him. He sustained bit wounds all over his body. However, the serious injuries he sustained caused by bites to his neck, face, and limbs failed to end his life. It looks like he’d live to endure some more of his wife’s pestering.
