7. Kung Fu fight with lions

Lions are called “kings of the jungle’ for good reason. Although they are not the biggest members of the cat family, an honor held by tigers, they are effective hunters and seem to command fear among animals, even among those that are bigger than them. But that’s something someone might have forgotten from biology class (or from Sir David Attenborough). Thirty-two-year-old Australian Ellie Quo snuck into a Melbourne Zoo one night to start a fight with a lion which he believed would test his shiny new kung fu skills. He thought his martial art skills would reach a new level after killing wild animals with his bare hands. At least that’s what he was told.

Unfortunately, his misguided act cost him his life when instead of squaring off with just one lion, a whole bunch of them ganged up on him. The poor man and his kung fu skills didn’t stand a chance against the pack when they viciously tore him to pieces, rendering his kung fu skills useless.
