40. Double teamed by a lion and a tiger

It’s always a good idea to keep your distance when you’re inside a zoo, no matter how much you want to get a good look at the animal. Or if you want to snap a photo, there’s always something to help you get a closer shot, like a zoom lens. A man sneaked into a tiger’s enclosure at a Guwahati Zoo determined to get a better shot of the beast. Suddenly, a female lion appeared and firmly took a hold of the man’s arm with her jaws.

Rescuers quickly arrived at the scene. Unfortunately, before any rescue was attempted, a male tiger helped the female lion rip the man’s arm off. He was eventually rescued but died on the way to the hospital due to the amount of blood he lost.
