37. Tiger died after a fight with another one

Humans are not the only creatures that should keep a safe distance from wild animals in the zoo. Even animals should be kept away from other animals. Smaller animals are vulnerable to dangerous attacks from the bigger ones. A tiger was left dead after a brutal fight with a younger tiger. The tigers were locked in a fight at a Winnipeg Zoo after the older tiger got through an unlocked gate leading to an enclosure with younger tigers.

When investigators looked into the incident, they found several flaws in the implementation of safety at the zoo. It was later found out that the gate was mistakenly left open by one of the zookeepers who earlier worked inside the enclosure to feed the animals and clean the pen.
