New Year’s Madness

The celebration of the New Year for 2017 in Istanbul, Turkey ended in a tragedy that killed 39 people including 25 foreigners.  This photograph was taken minutes before the massive shooting which took place in Reina Nightclub.

Sinking Of MV Sewol

On April 16, 2014, 250 high school students and teachers were killed when a Sewol ferry en route from Incheon to Jeju in South Korea sank 144-feet below sea level. The boat was reported to be overloaded, and not structurally in good condition. Captain Lee was sentenced to 36 years in jail because of abandoning the passengers and instructing the students to stay in their cabins while they filled with water. This screenshot was taken from one of the videos the students were filming while joking in their room without knowing the real size of the tragedy they were about to experience.
