Before Everest conquered them

George Mallory and Andrew “Sandy” Irvine were supposed to be the first men to reach the top of Mount Everest in 1924. However, the fate of the two brave climbers were unknown, as they never returned and no news reached anyone about their whereabouts. But in 1999, George Mallory’s body was found, but Irvine’s is yet to be discovered.

Granite Mountain Hotshots

On June 30, 2013, 19 of the 20 brave firemen lost their lives, making it the greatest loss of firefighters after 9/11. The men were part of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who were sent to put out a massive wildfire that was consuming most of Yarnell Hill, Arizona. Unfortunately, things took a terrible turn when the fire engulfed the team and killed them.
