Killed by a Fatal Lie

We may think that the little lies we speak are harmless until they are put to the test. Tina Watson and her husband David were on their honeymoon in Australia when they decided to go explore the underwater beauty of the Land Down Under. Tina, who was a beginner trusted her husband whom she thought had more experience than her but unbeknownst to the poor girl, David had lied about his skills. When Tina encountered some trouble underwater, David, in a bout of panic, swam immediately to the surface, leaving her to fend for herself as she slowly drowned. In this chilling photo, Tina is seen lying near the sandy bottom of the ocean as her life slowly left her body.

Last Kiss Before An Avalanche

Husband and wife team Rolf Bae and Cecilie Skog were Norwegian adventurers who loved extreme challenges such as scaling the tallest peaks and completing the longest treks in the world. Both were not mere beginners in the sport, having numerous achievements between them that included successful attempts to ski to both the South and North poles in 2005 and 2006 respectively.

In 2008, during an ascent of K2, the second highest peak after Mt. Everest, the couple were photographed locked in a kiss, oblivious to the tragedy that would befall Bae later on. On August 1, an ice fall took the life of Rolf, sweeping him off the mountain as his wife watched in horror.
