Airplane Tragedy N3

In 1961, the entire U.S. figure skating crew boarded Boeing 707 to travel to Belgium for the World Figure Skating Championships in Prague. In this last picture, the team looked happy and proud for this trip while boarding the airplane. The 72 passengers, including one farmer who was on land, were killed when the aircraft crashed into a farm before it reached the airport in Brussels.

At 9am of September 25, 1978, the airplane on the picture, Pacific Southwest Airlines Flight 182, collided with a private Cessna 172 light aircraft over the city of San Diego, California. All 135 passengers on board the aircraft died including 7 people on the ground destroying their houses.
