Self Sabotage

In this picture, 20-year-old Army Cadet Stephen Hilder, smiles for the camera and gives a thumbs-up before jumping off the plane. The skydiver intentionally obstructed his parachute and his reserve parachute so it wouldn’t open after falling from the plane which caused his death.

Teenager’s Inexplicable Suicide

In 1970, a 14- year-old Australian boy by the name of Keith Sapsford, hid in the wheel-well of an airplane. The plane was bound for Australia.  He fell to an estimated 200-feet and died after hitting the ground. The unfortunate event was unintentionally captured in this image by an amateur photographer testing his camera.
