Dangerous Business

Brazilian Formula One auto racer Ayrton Senna died moments after this picture was taken. He already won three Formula One world championships for McLaren. In 1994, he was killed in an accident while leading the San Marino Grand Prix for Williams.

On April 20, 1999, twelve students and one teacher were killed by senior students Dylan Klebold, 17, and Eric Harris, 18. The teacher in the image was identified as David Sanders, who warned the students in the cafeteria about these psychopaths on the loose. Harris and Klebold killed themselves with gunshot wounds to the head in the school’s library at approximately 12:08 pm on the day of the shootings. This is what is known today as the 1999 Columbine Massacre.
