The Titanic’s interiors were inspired by those at the Ritz hotel in London.  It is evocative of the height of opulence at that time.  Facilities on board included a gym pool, Turkish bath, a kennel of first class dogs, and a squash court.  In fact, the Titanic had its own onboard newspaper called the Atlantic Daily Bulletin.  It was a floating hotel decked in decadence.  It has a cellar that holds 20,000 bottles of beer, 1,500 bottles of wine and 8,000 cigars for the consumption of its first-class passengers. One can just imagine the opulence of that era as exemplified by the British and American high society. Indeed, the Titanic raised the bar in the high life!
