Violet Jessop, dubbed as “Miss Unsinkable,” was an ocean-liner stewardess and by the time the Titanic struck the iceberg on April 14, 1912, she had already survived one near fatal accident at sea. In the Titanic, as the ship went down, Jessop which is now a veteran of calamities, was ordered to the top of the deck to help non-English speaking passengers. According to her memoirs, she loaded the lifeboats in a calm fashion and orderly behavior until she was eventually ordered to board Lifeboat 16. Hers is a story of heroism and survival.
