It was reported that the Titanic ship was equipped to hold 64 lifeboat but there were only twenty lifeboats onboard. Another survivor named Laura Mabel Francatelli who was 30 years old at the time, described the arrival of the Carpathia, the ship that would save them. She shared: “Oh, at daybreak, when we saw the lights of that ship, about four miles away, we rowed like mad, and passed icebergs like mountains, at last at about 6:30 the deat Carpathia picked us up, our little boat was like a speck again the giant.” It was reported that the Carpathia arrived in the area at approximately 3:30 AM, more than an hour after the Titanic sank. Lifeboat number 2 was the first to reach the liner.
